FOBBS News
FOBB’s are the Friends of Birds Bush and we are here to help raise funds for the school and support in any way we can.
We are always looking for parents to join us and support us. It does not matter how much time you have to spare even if it is only to help man a stall at the Summer Fayre we would love your help.
We meet regularly to plan fun activities and fundraising events for the school.
We have been involved in putting on a Pamper Evening, a Chocolate Bingo Evening, Table Top Sale and the Summer Fayre. We support the teachers with the Christmas Fayre.
We have supported the teachers with assisting children on School trips, library visits and walks to swimming.
We run the tuck shops at the school disco and help out around school where needed but most of all we have fun being part of the school.
Our next meeting is on the 2nd November at 7.30pm at the Globe Inn on the Watling Street in Wilnecote. If you are curious and fancy finding out more come along for a drink and meet us.
Plant Sales
Autumn baskets and bedding plants can be ordered with donation from all sales going to the school. These have been given out to children and need to be returned by the 23rd September. Plants will be delivered October.
Chocolate Bingo
Due to the success of our last one we have organised another one for the 23rd November. Have your Bingo dabbers at the ready and prepare for eyes down!!.
Bags for School Collection
This raised £170 in the Spring. Another one is scheduled for the 8th November 2011 – so get ready for a sort out. They collect any unwanted clothes, shoes, textiles, bags with money being raised according to the weight of items we give them.
Table top Sale
This took place at the School on Saturday 17th September and raised £130.
What is the Money being spent on?
We have bought Hi Vi jackets for every pupil so they can wear these on school outings and when walking to swimming or the library.
We have bought 2 new play houses for the Nursery children to play in outside.
We are now looking at some climbing equipment for the Foundation Years.
